ABOUT Cindy...

Cindy is an active member of the LPGA, Teaching and Club Professional division. She earned her Class A certification in 2005. Cindy's life in golf began at the age of 14 when she first picked up a golf club. Cindy played on the LPGA's Futures Golf Tour in the early 1980's where she played alongside such talent as Laura Davies and Meg Mallon.

Originally from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Cindy came to Fresno in 1989 and began her local golf career working in some of the local pro shops. Most notably Fort Washington Country Club and Belmont Country Club.

Cindy is a 1982 graduate of McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and a 2002 graduate of California State University, Fresno, where she earned her Master of Arts in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sports Psychology. Since the most demanding skill of the game comes from "between the ears", she decided that a degree in Sports Psychology would be an invaluable asset to her teaching abilities. The subject of Cindy's Master's Thesis was the alleviation of back pain during the golf swing. Her in depth study of of this subject has enabled Cindy to help many of her students that suffer from back pain either during or as a result of their golf game.

Cindy donates both time and equipment to The First Tee of Fresno. Cindy believes that the game of golf has much to offer in the way of character building and values; and those opportunities should be available to all.

Cindy also served as the Assistant Coach for Fresno City College Women's Golf Team, from 2004 - 2010.
